Majkhali is a small, tranquil hamlet located 12 km from Ranikhet, on the Ranikhet–Almora Highway (NH-109). The resort is surrounded by dense oak, pine, and cedar forests, home to a variety of Himalayan and migratory bird species. The area is also renowned for its expansive Himalayan views. The XANADU Resort is a picturesque hill resort featuring well-appointed operational guest rooms, along with a restaurant, reception area, and dedicated staff quarters. The resort has been operational since 2008, and guest feedback over the years has been highly encouraging.
The resort is fully owned by Mr. Ravi Chauhan, who studied Hotel Management at Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai and brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked across several cities, primarily with EIH Limited (The Oberoi Group). After a successful career, he chose to return to his roots with a vision to develop the Kumaon Himalayan region into a haven of peace and serenity—allowing travellers to rejuvenate through yoga, meditation, and a deep connection with nature, flowers, forests, and the rich diversity of Himalayan birdlife.
